We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. If you’re a hard-working professional interested in working for a dynamic company in a remote environment, Brightside Health is a great company for you. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing all company invoices as well as reviewing and disseminating all company mail. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will also partner closely with the Staff Accountant and other members of the Accounting Team.
What You’ll Be Doing As Accounts Payable Clerk
- Verify invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Process invoices in cloud-based AP system
- Reconcile accounts payable statements
- Generate periodic reports related to accounts payable
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail by department and category
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and internally from employees
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proficiency in utilizing accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word)
- High school diploma or equivalent
